I want to take a moment to organize the possibilities I developed for my home media network. I may have left something out, if so I will post any new developments.

I started my integration project by looking at all technology options and web TV offerings. None of made a lot of sense compared to my cable service. I knew I needed a media PC to manage movies and shows I wanted to store locally. After that I explored non PC based interfaces with remote control capability. I tried the Apple TV and found it to limiting. I then tried the Roku 3 and never turned back. Its ability to interface with my other components and simplicity sold me right away. More on that next time.
